GMTC participated in the closing ceremony organized by the Center for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture in cooperation with the Center for the Defense of Civil Liberties and Rights which comes within the project "Strengthening the Promotion of Rehabilitation, Prevention of Torture and Accountability in Palestine.".
The ceremony covered a comprehensive presentation of the outputs of the project and the activities carried out under it which were aimed at supporting and rehabilitating victims of torture and strengthening prevention and accountability mechanisms. The efforts made by the Center in serving these issues, and joint cooperation with various civilian and military institutions to promote the principles of human rights and justice were also highlighted.
The ceremony included a talk about the reality of the prisoners and the violence and violations they were exposed in addition to a review of the challenges and needs related to human rights in Palestine, and the necessity of integrating official and societal roles in confronting these violations and ensuring justice and dignity for the victims.
