GMTC participated in an open meeting organized by the Gender Advisory Committee, in cooperation with the Political Guidance Commission, in the presence of Major General/ Anwar Rajab, under the title "Fortifying: Intellectual Security for Male and Female Members of the Security Institution.".
The meeting discussed the importance of intellectual awareness as one of the pillars of national security, and ways to fortify it among members of the security establishment, in light of the escalating challenges targeting the intellectual structure of Palestinian society, through spreading misleading ideas and attempts to confuse national concepts.
It was also stressed the need to distinguish between what is correct and patriotic, and what is intended to destabilize stability by spreading rumors or adopting narratives that conflict with the Palestinian national project, as opposed to the counter-project that seeks to dismantle identity and undermine constants.
During the meeting, the pivotal role played by the security institution in protecting and promoting national thought was highlighted, in addition to the importance of integrating women and enhancing their role in carrying the security and societal message, as they are an active partner in confronting manifestations of intellectual deviation and enhancing society’s immunity.
