GMTC continued to implement the activities of the fifth summer camp “Martyrs of National Duty – Protecting a Homeland”, through a diverse program that combines national, cultural and awareness aspects, which contributes to developing the students' personalities and strengthening their national affiliation.
The students began their program with an applied lecture given by the Palestinian Civil Defense staff, during which the participants learned about fire prevention methods and mechanisms for dealing with fires in their early stages, in addition to training on safe evacuation procedures and proper behavior in emergency situations, in a way that enhances the culture of public safety and raises their level of readiness to deal with various risks.
After that, the students went on a visit to Hisham's Palace in the city of Jericho, where they learned about one of the most prominent historical and archaeological landmarks in Palestine, and listened to an explanation about its cultural importance and the ancient architectural and cultural heritage it embodies
The Institute's Information Technology Department also presented an awareness lecture to students, which addressed the importance of technology in daily life, the basics of cybersecurity, and ways to safely use the Internet and social media
The day's program concluded with a lecture given by the Institute's Psychological Support Unit, which addressed a number of awareness-raising topics aimed at enhancing students' mental health, developing their awareness, and refining their knowledge, within the framework of the educational program adopted by GMTC as part of the camp's activities.
