As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance and qualify the security staff to face various field conditions and situations GMTC graduated the “ Basic First Aid Course ”, which was held at the Central Training Institute, with the participation of (17) trainees from members of the security services.
During which the participants received an intensive training program that included a number of basic topics that enhance the medical and humanitarian readiness of workers in the field. Among the most prominent topics covered in the course were:
• Principles of first aid.
• Components and uses of the ambulance bag.
• Assessing injuries and prioritizing intervention.
• Methods for the safe evacuation of casualties.
• How to deal with burns and wounds.
• Effective communication skills during emergencies.
• Acting in complex situations and responding quickly.
For its part GMTC confirmed that this course comes within a series of specialized programs that aim to empower members of the security institution with practical and theoretical skills that enhance their role in maintaining security, serving citizens, and dealing with any emergency with high professionalism and responsible humanity.
