As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance professional capabilities and develop security cadres, GMTC organized a lecture entitled “Interpol”, delivered by Colonel/ Muhammad Ikhlawi, Deputy Director of Interpol in Palestine, to members of the 29th Intermediate Leadership Course.
The lecture dealt with introducing Interpol, its working mechanisms, and its role in enhancing international cooperation between police services, in addition to reviewing the most prominent areas of its work in pursuing wanted persons and exchanging security information across borders.
Colonel/ Ikhlawi also touched on the importance of coordination between Interpol and the Palestinian security services, and its role in combating organized crime and enhancing security and stability.
At the end of the lecture, the floor was opened for discussion for the participants, where opinions and inquiries were exchanged, which would contribute to deepening understanding of the nature of Interpol's work and the mechanisms for utilizing it in security work.
