The head of GMTC staff Major General /Mahmoud Haroon, received a delegation from Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF), headed by Ambassador Natalie Schward, Director-General of the Centre to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides on issues of mutual interest.
Staff major General /Harun appreciated the role of Geneva Centre, stressing that the joint work and cooperation between the Palestinian Security Institution and the Centre is not the result of the moment but It is a fruitful and long-standing cooperation aimed at developing the capacities of the members of the security forces and acquiring the necessary expertise and skills to carry out their duties within the vision and plan of the Palestinian security sector.
Ms. Natalie Schward for her part expressed admiration for the devolving level of services provided by GMTC and the significant achievements that made, noting that cooperation between the two parties was fruitful and hoped to continue at this pace of joint cooperation with a view to promoting justice the rule of law gender equality, human rights and governance in the security sector
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to continue interaction and joint action between the two sides in many areas and to strengthen the relationship to take advantage of the accumulated experiences of the two parties with a view to refining and upgrading the capacities of the members of the security forces and achieving governance and justice in all areas of a common dimension.
