As part of national efforts to promote the use of renewable energy sources in governmental and security institutions, contributing to sustainability, GMTC and the Energy and Natural Resources Authority discussed prospects for joint cooperation to develop the energy sector infrastructure in security institutions and equip the Central Training Institute with solar energy systems.
This came during a visit by the Head of the GMTC, Major General Mahmoud Haroun, his deputy, Brigadier General Bassam Al-Jarbi, and a number of officers, to the Head of the Energy and Natural Resources Authority, Engineer Ayman Ismail, where they discussed ways to develop the energy infrastructure and equip the Central Training Institute with solar energy systems.
Engineer Ismail emphasized the importance of expanding the use of renewable energy in governmental and security institutions, given its role in reducing electricity bills and promoting reliance on clean and sustainable energy sources. He indicated the Energy Authority's readiness to provide the necessary support to ensure the success of this project. For his part, Major General Haroun commended the Energy Authority's efforts in supporting solar energy projects, emphasizing the GMTC’s commitment to developing the energy infrastructure at its facilities to ensure a sustainable electricity supply for the institute and enhance its operational efficiency.
Both sides agreed to continue coordination and technical and procedural follow-up in preparation for commencing the project in the coming period.
