In a move reflecting partnership and integration between national institutions and strengthening institutional development, GTC of the Security Forces signed a cooperation agreement with the Arab American University at the university's campus in Ramallah. The signing ceremony was attended by the head of the GMTC Major General Mahmoud Haroun, his deputy, Brigadier General Bassam Al-Jarbi, and a number of officials and academics from both sides.
The Chairman of the University's Board of Directors, Dr. Yousef Asfour, and the University President, Dr. Baraa Asfour, were also present, in an atmosphere reflecting the spirit of cooperation and institutional integration.
The agreement aims to enhance cooperation in academic, training, and technical fields, contributing to the development of qualified personnel, raising the efficiency of institutional performance, and aligning educational outcomes with the needs of security work.
Dr. Yousef Asfour emphasized that this partnership aligns with the university's vision of strengthening cooperation with national institutions and supporting the role of higher education in development. For his part, Dr. Baraa Asfour explained that the agreement opens the door to utilizing scientific and research capabilities to serve institutions, noting that areas of cooperation include specialized training, digital transformation, and capacity-building programs.
Major General Mahmoud Haroun emphasized the importance of this agreement in strengthening the integration between the academic and applied aspects, which contributes to developing the performance and readiness of personnel. He also commended the university's pioneering role in serving the community.
The agreement includes implementing specialized training programs, organizing workshops, and exchanging expertise, in addition to cooperating in training nursing and healthcare students, particularly in the fields of emergency medicine.
The areas of cooperation also include scientific research, organizing conferences and seminars, launching joint initiatives in cybersecurity and digital transformation, and implementing media and sports activities that enhance institutional communication and contribute to the exchange of expertise between the two parties.
